The Resource Center offers a variety of site-based services including day services, traumatic brain injury program, and various living options that are person centered. The Resource Center prides itself on offering a services that can be tailored to each individual situation.
Day Services
Mission Statement for The Resource Center’s Day Services
The mission of The Resource Center’s Day Services is to support people with developmental disabilities in living a happy and healthy life by providing opportunities to learn and maintain skills; to participate and develop relationships in the community; and to identify and attain their valued outcomes.
Services Provided
The Day Services Department of The Resource Center is comprised of Day Habilitation Programs at five locations in Chautauqua County. Day Habilitation is a compilation of supports and services, outlined in a Day Habilitation Plan, to help individuals develop and attain life goals that they have identified as meaningful and desirable to them. Staff support is provided to assist individuals with daily life activities, skill development, and in achieving satisfying and rewarding connections and relationships within their communities.
Admission Criteria/Eligibility Requirements
An individual can be admitted to the Day Habilitation program if he/she is age eighteen or over and has a developmental disability with a diagnosis of intellectual/developmental disability, autism, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, or neurological impairment, and possesses a deficit in adaptive behavior. Each individual must also have the capacity to participate in planned activities at a site other than his/her residence. Only individuals whose functional, developmental, and nursing needs can be met by the program will be admitted. Individuals must be enrolled or eligible for enrollment in the Home and Community Based Services Waiver program. Preference will be given to residents of Chautauqua County.

Traumatic Brain Injury Structured Day Program
Services Provided
Structured Day Program Services are individually designed services, provided in an outpatient setting to improve or maintain a person’s skills and abilities to live as independently as possible in the community.
Services Include
- Computer-based Cognitive Rehabilitation
- Creative Arts
- Life Skills
- Social Interaction
- OT, PT, and Speech Services Available
(weekly meetings with clinicians and staff to
integrate therapy into daily routine)
Admission Criteria / Eligibility Requirements
An individual can be admitted to The Resource Center’s TBI Structured Day Program if he/she has a diagnosed Traumatic Brain Injury. He/she must also have the capacity to participate in computer-based cognitive rehabilitation therapy. Only individuals whose functional, behavioral, and support needs can be met by the program will be admitted. Both part-time and full-time schedules are available. The program service is approved as part of the New York State Department of Health Traumatic Brain Injury Waiver, unless covered by private insurance or private pay.

The mission of The Resource Center’s Traumatic Brain Injury Structured Day Program is to support individuals in attaining greater independence and enjoying quality of life through participation in computer-based cognitive rehabilitation, creative arts, social interaction and life skill
development.
Program Hours
Programs are open Monday through Friday – 8:00 am – 3:00 pm
Both full-time and part-time schedules are available!
