Support Historic Investments for People with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

Last month Governor Hochul released her Executive Budget, which included historic investments for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and Direct Support Professionals, including a 5.4% cost-of-living-adjustment (COLA), staff bonuses, and an 11% COLA for special education.

Now we must ask legislators to support the Executive Budget proposals to ensure that they are included in the final budget. Although we are in a much better position this year, we still must be diligent and make sure we cross the finish line successfully.
