This week our “Employee Spotlight” shines on K

This week our “Employee Spotlight” shines on Karri Frank, who was Employee of the Month in our Intellectual & Developmental Disability Services. Karri was honored for her willingness to go beyond her typical job duties. In particular, she stepped up to support a self-advocate from a different home who had become fearful while out in the community and had begun running around in traffic. Karri helped find the person and get him to safety, and her presence eased his anxiety.

Karri is pictured alongside Dustin Allen, who nominated her for the award. Congratulations, Karri, and thanks for taking the initiative to support someone who was in a dangerous predicament!

Again this fall, we're proud to be collecting item

Again this fall, we're proud to be collecting items for Blue Star Mothers Lake Erie NY 4 to ship to U.S. troops stationed overseas. If you'd like to donate, collection boxes are located in the lobbies of our buildings at 200 Dunham Avenue in Celoron and 75 Jones & Gifford Avenue in Jamestown. You can donate until December 4. Check out @lakeerieshoresbluestarmothers to learn other ways you can support their mission.

We traveled to Westfield last week to present our Employer of the Year Award to the Original Crunch Roll Factory. Crunch Factory has been partnering with us since 2021 and currently has three workers from our Supported Employment Program.

Crunch Factory officials have provided a work environment that feels safe and welcoming. They’ve committed to their workers with disabilities and become an extension of each person’s support team. They’ve been willing to assist with transportation barriers and have provided endless encouragement to their workers.
