The Resource Center offers monthly Parent/Caregiver support groups and workshops for your convenience. We offer help with respite care and transportation.
The Resource Center’s Sibshops are workshops designed for siblings that have a brother or sister with special needs. Our Sibshops are an action-packed recreational program that supports and connects other brothers and sisters together to share their own triumphs, concerns, and questions that they have with their sibling with special needs.
The Resource Center also offers assistance to parents and caregivers new to the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) that may need help navigating the “Front Door” of service offerings. The Resource Center has special programming that addresses different issues such as social skill building, concussion management, and a structured , goal-oriented program that helps children with working memory, attention, processing, sequencing and motor coordination delays.
The Resource Center also has fun, family-oriented events such as Step-Up for Autism, Laurel Run, Street Jam and more. For more information, visit the special event section of our web site to learn more!
