Primary responsibility is for the management and maintenance of all assigned Agency network accounts. Security administrator is also directly responsible for auditing the access logs and look for unusual patterns of activity. Researching root cause for vulnerabilities or signs of an attack. This can include working with commercial Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and firewalls as well as reviewing router and server system logs. Will perform technical research of all newly requested security clearance and hardware or software applications and will make recommendations for acquisition to Director of Information Systems. Security Administrator spends much of their time configuring and operating access control systems for all agency applications.
